A Real Man

In today's society, what is the definition of a real man? You have to ask yourself whose opinion you are basing this answer off of and if the answer is valid. I often consider what it takes to be a "real man", and I can only come up with one solid answer. A "real man" is somebody who stands up for the right things in life, portrays a positive image, and is emulated by his peers and associates. A "real man" is envied by even some of his closest associates, colleagues, and even family members. Women can identify the qualities of a "real man" quickly, and they often are attracted to men of this caliber. You're probably look at that last sentence right now and asking yourself how does this relate to me. Well I'm glad that you asked because if you're ever out in a public place and women are looking your way constantly then you have the "real man" image. There's something about the way a "real man" walks that turns a woman on, has her biting her bottom lip, or even giving that ever so slight double take glance your way. One thing I have noticed nowadays is that "real men" are far and few between. I hear dudes everywhere claiming to be real, but no actions show otherwise. You can't consider yourself a "real man" if you have 5 or 6 kids running around here, and you not taking care of any of them. You can't even consider yourself a "real man" if you don't have a stable job, car, house, apartment, or condominium. A lot of the dudes I catch claiming that they're "real" are the same ones who run around with their pants hanging to the ground, ass all out on display like a woman, and a mouth full of gold teeth. There's nothing "real" about that image simply because those are images adopted by rappers. How can you consider yourself "real" if you're imitating a fantasy world? The same ones I'm referring to right now are the ones who also run around cursing every other word like a sailor. "Fuck this and fuck that, bitch nigga, pussy nigga, fuck nigga, etc." A "real man" has a vocabulary like none other. He can turn a woman on just by mere conversation. One of the biggest misconceptions of the definition of a "real man" is that "real men" don't show their emotions. I disagree with notion because a "real man" is in tune with every fiber of his being. A "real man" will cry in front of his friends without thought, he'll call his wife/girlfriend/significant other around his boys and tell her he loves her dearly, and he'll also fight for what is right. A "real man" resembles God himself because "real men" are created by God.

  1. I love it but in the past Society has defined the gender roles of a man and until we can break free from that .... men showing emotion will still be frowned upon
